Massive Shahed attack on Kyiv: There are casualties, including a child

As a result of the massive attack by the Russian Federation on Kyiv on the night of March 23, three people died, including a father and his five-year-old child. Enemy drones caused numerous hits and fires in residential buildings.

The attack on the capital began at 9:00 p.m. and lasted until 2:00 a.m. “According to available information, three people died, including a 5-year-old child. Another 10 were injured. Among the dead were a father and his little daughter. And the youngest victim of the Russian attack was only 11 months old,” the Kyiv city military administration said.

Residents of Kyiv reported a series of explosions and the flight of enemy drones in all areas of the city. Videos of drone strikes on residential buildings and large-scale fires are being distributed on social networks.

The Air Force reported a large number of drones moving towards the capital, and according to monitoring channels, their number could reach from 20 to 60 units.

According to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out on the upper floors of a nine-story building in the Dnipro district, covering an area of ​​100 square meters. As a result, a woman died. Rescuers evacuated 27 residents.

In another building in the same district, on the sixth floor of a sixteen-story building, damage was recorded – a blast wave broke out a window and also damaged the floor and ceiling in one of the apartments.

In the Podilskyі district, rescuers extinguished a fire covering an area of ​​20 square meters on the 20th floor of a 25-story residential building.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire engulfed a four-story office and warehouse building, destroying 2,000 square meters. A residential trailer and trucks covering an area of ​​60 square meters also burned down. Another deceased person was found in this area.

In the Desnyanskyi district, firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out in an open area in a forest belt.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, six cars were damaged.

According to the head of the city military administration, Timur Tkachenko, a fire broke out in one of the catering establishments in the Dniprovskyi district.
