The data on the catastrophic shortage of personnel in the health care system in the occupied part of the Kherson region are confirmed. Local residents are left without proper medical care due to overcrowded hospitals with military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces, which reduces the availability of medical services for the civilian population.
In particular, it is reported that in order to receive medical assistance, one must have a Russian passport, and medical services are mostly paid. This limits access to treatment for those unable or unwilling to obtain a Russian passport, leaving them in a desperate situation. To settle the situation, a group of doctors from Rostov was sent to the Chaplin district of the Kherson region, but this is only a temporary measure that ends on October 12. After that, local residents will again be left without the possibility of free treatment.
Restrictions on access to medical services and discrimination against the local population are part of the occupation authorities’ plan to strengthen control in the Kherson region, the message emphasizes.
