Missile attack on Kryvyi Rih: houses, ambulance, hotel and Pension Fund damaged, 17 injured

On the night of October 20, Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih with two ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling, 17 people were injured, and numerous civilian objects were also damaged, Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the city’s Defense Council, said.

Out of 17 victims, including 1 rescuer, 14 required medical assistance. Eight people are currently in the hospital, the condition of all of them is characterized as average.

“According to the currently available information, 15 buildings, three educational institutions, three administrative buildings, seven business facilities, a hotel, three fire trucks, and 20 cars were damaged,” Vilkul said.

In Dnipropetrovsk, the regional military administration added that as a result of the rocket attack, “three fire engines, as many police cars and an ambulance were also damaged.

The local authorities quickly deployed staffs to help the victims. The Dovgyntsiv Executive Committee has organized a point at 11 Dniprovske Shosse, where residents can get the necessary building materials, in particular film and OSB-plates, as well as submit applications for financial assistance from the city.

“Help will be provided to everyone who needs it,” Vilkul assured.

He also added that the formed brigades of utility workers provide assistance in closing broken windows, primarily to pensioners and people with reduced mobility.
