Two port employees were injured as a result of the Russian attack.

On March 1, the Russian army launched a ballistic missile strike on the city of Odessa. As a result of the attack, a civilian ship was damaged, two people were injured.

This was reported by the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper.

As a result of the strike, two civilian employees were injured, who are currently receiving medical care.

The missile attack damaged two merchant ships. One of them is the SUPER SARKAS under the flag of Sierra Leone, which was transporting more than 21 thousand tons of corn and soybeans; the other is the container ship “MSC LEVANTE F”, owned by a European shipping company and registered in Panama.

In addition to the ships, the attack also damaged port infrastructure facilities. This is another case when the Russians are striking the civilian fleet. In total, 29 ships have already been recorded as having been damaged as a result of such attacks.

Despite the threat, the Ukrainian sea corridor continues to operate. Since its opening, about 4 thousand ships have passed through it, transporting 106 million tons of cargo to different parts of the world, including almost 70 million tons of grain.

Oleg Kiper added that all relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the missile strike, and doctors are providing the necessary assistance to the victims.
