Missile strike on the Dnipro: rescue operation continues

Today in the Dnipro is the first day of three-day mourning for those who died as a result of a missile strike by the Russian invaders.

As of the morning of January 15, it is already known that 30 people died as a result of a Russian missile hitting a residential high-rise in Dnipro, which occurred during a massive attack on Ukraine on January 14.

Another 73 people were injured as a result of rocket fire. More than 40 of them are still in hospitals, and four remain in intensive care in a serious condition.

The rocket attack by the Rashists on Saturday destroyed 72 and damaged another 164 apartments. Now more than 400 people who lived in the building need to be resettled.

Dismantling of the destroyed structures of the building continues. Almost four tons of debris have already been removed. The rescue operation is ongoing.

Hardly any heavy equipment is used on site, so as not to harm people who may be under the debris. Roughly, the work should be finished by 3:00 am.

Missile attack on the Dnipro. The death toll rose to 21

As of 10:00 a.m. on January 15, 30 people are known to have died as a result of a Russian missile attack on a nine-story residential building in Dnipro, including one child.

Update 10:00: According to the deputy of the office of the President of Ukraine Kyryl Tymeshenko, the death toll has risen to 30.

As of 06:00, the State Emergency Service reported 17 victims of the Russian strike, and at 7:25, the Regional Military Administration reported 18 dead. At 8:25 a.m., the head of the Dnipro Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk, reported one more death.

According to the latest data announced by the Regional Military Administration, the number of victims of the Russian attack on the Dnipro has already reached 30 people.

The number of injured people is currently 73, of which 14 are children. More than 40 victims are in hospitals, four of them are in intensive care, in serious condition.

38 people (including six children) were rescued from the rubble.

Search and rescue operations at the scene of the Russian crime continue.

The Regional Military Administration reported that the fate of more than 40 people remains unknown. At the same time, according to the head of the regional council, 37 missing persons reports have been received so far, 33 people are wanted.

On the afternoon of Saturday, January 14, during a large-scale attack on Ukraine, Russian invaders hit a nine-story residential building in Dnipro, killing and injuring civilians. Until midnight, rescue, emergency and utility services worked at the site of yesterday’s enemy missile strike in Kryvyi Rih.

About 50 private houses, 3 schools, two kindergartens, apartment buildings and an administrative building were damaged.

Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the military administration of Kryvyi Rih, reports this.

“Utility services and energy companies continue work on restoring water, gas and electricity supplies,” he added.

According to Vilkul, 4 special groups have been working since this morning, they are examining the damage in more detail, primarily private houses, and people will be provided with building materials for priority restoration work.

“Also, based on the inspection reports, people whose houses were damaged will receive assistance from the city,” the city’s head stated.

On January 14, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih. An air alert was announced in the region.

Air defense forces managed to shoot down four missiles, but they were recorded as hitting the private sector. One person died, another was injured.

The Russians left 60,000 families without water by shelling the Nikopol district

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, on the night of January 15, the Russian invaders again shelled the Nikopol district: they hit the power line that feeds the water supply pumping station.

Valentin Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, writes about this.

“The Russians shelled the area three times with heavy artillery. They hit three communities – Chervonogrigorivska, Marganetska and Nikopolska. More than 20 shells were fired at peaceful towns and villages.

In the Marganetsk community, the power line supplying the pumping station of the local water supply was damaged. More than 60,000 families were left without water,” the head of the region noted.

Reznichenko added that there were no casualties among people.
