More than 20 explosions were heard in Sumy since morning

Starting at 3:00 a.m. on August 6 and throughout the day, residents of Sumy could hear more than 20 explosions of varying power. The regional military administration reported on a rocket attack on the infrastructure of the district, and the head of the city military administration reported on the work of air defense.

For the first time, an air alert was announced in the Sumy region on August 6 at 2:09 am. Around 3:00 a.m., the first series of explosions was heard in Sumy. At that time, the Air Force reported on the activity of tactical aviation of the Russian Federation in the north-eastern direction and about the threat of using aviation means of destruction for the front-line areas. At 4:20 and around 5:00, residents of Sumy heard about ten more explosions. Then explosions were heard at 9:35, 9:50, 14:10, 14:15, 14:40, 15:45, 16:20, a total of more than ten explosions. The Air Force reported the launch of guided aerial bombs in the Sumy region and in the direction of Sumy, as well as the activity of the Russian tactical aviation.
