More than 6’000 Russian troops, who believed in the Russian “Liberating mission”, got killed in Ukraine

According to Novaya Gazeta magazine, more than 6,000 Russian troops dispatched to the “military exercises” on the Ukrainian border were killed during the attempt to occupy Ukraine. Everything got even tougher than Russians expected. It is impossible to conquer people on their own land.

The Russian government forbids referring to what happens in Ukraine as a war and refrains from making any comments on the casualties. The Ministry of Defense provided information about losses for the first time only on 27th February. However, they have not specified how many troops are dead, captured, and injured. The death toll has reached 6’000 today. Six thousand of those who lost their life, six thousand families who lost their children, brothers, and fathers. International media, activists, and human rights’ groups informed that Russian soldiers are being buried in unmarked graves because the Russian government tries to hide the fact that they fight in Ukraine. What could be worse than that? Movable crematorium. Journalists call this practice a “terrible side-effect” of how Russians treat their forces.

Russian prisoners of war have told about the numerous atrocities within their own army: officers kill their injured soldiers, leave them on the battlefields, and do not report the death to the relatives of the deceased. Young men with tears in their eyes call mothers and beg them to find themselves in the list of “Union of Mothers of Russia”. Whereas the Ukrainian side is trying to open Russian mothers’ eyes to the truth and what happens with their children, Russian propaganda calls upon them not to search for their own children in Ukraine. After all, the truth is coming out, and the lies are harder to hide.

More than 6,000 soldiers died in Ukraine in 6 days. How many more deaths and grief are needed for the country to learn about real events and stop this terrible occupation war?
