On August 2, the Russians shelled Kharkiv and nine settlements in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, civilians were injured, there were also deaths. This was reported on August 3, by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov.
Three women were injured in the shelling in the city of Chuhuyiv, and a 6-year-old girl in the village of Ivano-Shyychyne of the Bogodukhiv community. One person died and two were injured as a result of ammunition explosions.
“A 43-year-old man was killed in the village of Eskhar of the Novopokrovskaya community. A 67-year-old man was injured in the village of Slatyne of the Dergachivskaya community. A 75-year-old man was injured in the city of Izyum,” the regional military administration reported.
Russian strikes were also recorded in two locations in the city of Balakliya.
“Eight private houses were burning at the first location. Thanks to the operational actions of the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, we managed to save 4 people, including a child. As a result of the repeated shelling, 2 fire engines were damaged. Fortunately, the personnel were not injured. At the second location, an administrative building and seven cars were burning,” the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region reported.
As Oleg Synegubov specified, the Russians used various types of weapons to strike the Kharkiv region: 3 guided aerial bombs; UAV of the “Geran-2” type; 1 UAV of the “Lancet” type; 2 UAVs of the “Blyskavka” type; 2 FPV drones; 1 UAV (type to be determined).
As a result of the attack, private houses, a garage, non-residential buildings, and cars were destroyed.
The Russians also attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with two attack drones. The Kyivskyi district of the city was also hit by enemy Blyskavka UAVs.
“Ten people were injured in the attack, including three children. Among them is a 5-month-old baby,” said chairman Igor Terekhov.
