Specialists recorded the clogging of the territory and took soil samples.
On the evening of September 22, the Russians shelled Zaporizhzhia, using guided aerial bombs on the city. Specialists of the State Environmental Inspection inspected the sites of Russian hits, the press service of the department reports.
Specialists visited three locations affected by Russian shelling. Damage to residential buildings, educational institutions and businesses was recorded. It was possible to discover one of the pits, the area of which is more than 6 meters wide and 10 meters long.
Previously, in some places where the Russians aimed, no shell holes were found. Some speculate that the projectile may have exploded in mid-air. In Zaporizhzhia, the regional military administration noted that specialists are currently conducting an examination to find out why there are no ruptures at the locations.
The total area covered by the shelling was more than 2,000 square meters. Experts took soil samples for further research.
All materials were handed over by experts of the State Environmental Inspection to law enforcement agencies and the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.
In Zaporizhzhia, a collection was announced for the victims of the night attack. The collection will last three days – from September 23 to 12:00 on September 26.
