Nearly 4,000 civilians remain in the front-line city of Bakhmut, including at least 38 children

As reported “We are Ukraine” – nearly 4,000 civilians are still living in the front-line city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, as reported by Ukrainian Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk. This number includes at least 38 children.

“Before the full-scale invasion, the city was home to more than 70,000 people, including 12,000 children. Therefore, 95% of the residents have been evacuated,” stated Vereshchuk.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the government is working on a mechanism for the forced removal of children with at least one parent from war zones.
