Night alert in Zhytomyr region of air attack

On the night of March 29, Zhytomyr region was once again targeted by Russian strikes. Russian kamikaze drones and missiles attacked the region, causing a series of explosions. Ukraine’s air defense forces performed at a high level, successfully shooting down most of the Russian targets. However, the debris of the downed objects caused damage to several infrastructure facilities.

According to local authorities, as a result of the night attack, damage was recorded to several economic structures, and power outages were observed in some areas of the region. There are currently no casualties among the population. Rescue services are working quickly to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.

Residents are urged not to ignore air alarm signals and to stay in shelters, as the danger in the region remains. The authorities continue to appeal to international partners with a call to increase support so that Ukraine can more effectively defend its territory from further attacks.
