Night attack on Kharkiv: city council calculates number of damaged buildings

As a result of the night attack on March 6, at least 13 buildings were damaged in Saltivskyi district.

During the day, specialists from the municipal enterprise “Kharkiv Repair and Construction Enterprise” and the municipal enterprise “KharkivZhytlobud” closed 70% of the broken windows in apartments and 36% in public areas. They also closed almost half of the damaged balcony glazing, the Kharkiv City Council reported.

Emergency structures on the roof and technical floor of the building were dismantled by rescuers after the fire was extinguished.

23 rescuers, including climbers, participated in the work, 6 units of special and heavy engineering equipment from the Kharkiv, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy garrisons of the State Emergency Service were involved. The main attention was paid to dismantling the most dangerous structural elements of the building that could pose a threat to people, the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region reported.

On the night of March 6, at about 4:00, Russians launched UAV strikes on the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv. As a result of the drone strike, the roof, elevator shaft, partially the technical floor and the facade between the ninth and technical floors of a 9-story residential building were damaged. Two people have an acute stress reaction.
