Night attack on Kharkiv on October 1: Russian air bombs caused destruction and fires, there are casualties

On the night of October 1, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on Kharkiv, using guided air bombs. As a result of the strikes in the city, fires broke out, houses and other infrastructure were destroyed.

According to the Air Force, at about 01:57, a threat of ballistic missile use was recorded from the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, and later from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. In parallel, the movement of air bombs was recorded in the direction of the city. It was after this that a series of explosions were heard in Kharkiv.

Chairman Igor Terekhov confirmed that Kharkiv was under a combined attack, but currently the main destruction was caused by guided air bombs.

The Kyivskyі and Saltivskyі districts of the city were under attack. As a result of the hits, private houses and garages were destroyed, and the Barabashovo city market caught fire. The fire was also recorded on the territory of a garage cooperative.

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, specified that as a result of the attack: trade pavilions on an area of ​​about 500 sq. m caught fire, garages and a private house burned, and the glazing of residential buildings and a pharmacy was damaged.

According to updated data, as of 03:20 on October 1, six victims were known. All of them received the necessary medical assistance.
