As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 17, 14 people have already been killed and over 50 injured.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, 27 locations in different districts of the capital came under enemy fire that night. Among them are residential buildings, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure facilities.
“Rescuers, police, and medics are working. They are doing everything to help the victims, clear the rubble, and save lives.
The number of dead has increased to 14 people. As of now, 44 people have been injured in Kyiv. Rescuers managed to unblock people from entrances, apartments, and from under the rubble.
All emergency services are on the ground, please adhere to restrictive measures. I am personally monitoring the progress of rescue operations.”
Chairman Vitaliy Klitschko updated the data at 8:30, noting that 55 victims are already known. “The number of victims in the capital is increasing. There are currently 55 of them. More than 40 people have been taken to the city’s medical facilities. There is no exact information yet about those trapped. Since rescuers are working on the ground,” Klitschko said.
According to him, in the Solomyanskyі district, in particular, they are clearing rubble in a residential building where an entire entrance has collapsed.
Headquarters have been deployed in the Solomyanskyі and Darnytskyі districts to assist all those affected by the Russian’s massive attack on the capital.
