Night attack on Zhytomyr region: Russians hit critical infrastructure

On the night of January 15, Russian troops struck critical infrastructure facilities in the Zhytomyr and Korosten districts. The attack took place during severe winter frosts, when the stable operation of vital systems is of particular importance.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties among the civilian population. Fires broke out in the areas of the hits, but they were quickly localized.

Repair teams are already working to restore the damaged facilities. Specialists are carrying out work continuously, as soon as the security situation in the affected locations allows.

The regional authorities emphasize that the Russians are continuing to try to deprive Ukrainians of basic services during the most difficult period of winter, but all services are acting in a coordinated manner to minimize the consequences of the attacks.
