Night of alarm in Cherkasy region: air defense shot down six Russian drones, there is damage in Uman district

On February 7, Cherkasy region experienced a difficult night – Russia again carried out a combined attack on the territory of Ukraine. The air alert continued throughout the night, and air defense forces worked in an intensified mode.

Within the region, Ukrainian defense forces destroyed six Russian drones. In most cases, the attack passed without serious consequences, but it was not possible to completely avoid damage.

In the Uman district, in the morning, the fragments of the drone and the blast wave damaged at least three private houses, outbuildings and several cars. One man sought medical help – he was previously diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.

All necessary services are working on the ground: rescuers, doctors and law enforcement officers. The consequences of the attack are being recorded and assistance is being provided to the victims.

It is also reported that due to the extremely difficult situation in the unified power system of Ukraine, emergency power outages have been applied in the Cherkasy region, in addition to hourly schedules.
