Not a single inhabitant or a single intact house remains in the border village of Kharkiv Region

In the border village of Sotnytskyi Kozachok, near Zolochiv, all the houses have been destroyed by shelling. There are no residents left here. This was reported by the head of the Zolochiv settlement military administration, Viktor Kovalenko.

Sotnytskyi Kozachok is a village located almost on the border with the Russian Federation. Before the war, 117 people lived here.

According to Kovalenko, before the active phase of hostilities, the local authorities, together with the coordination center at the Kharkiv Region Military Administration and volunteers, evacuated the last 32 inhabitants from the village. Only a 90-year-old grandmother remained in the settlement. She recently died when she blew herself up on a mini-petal. The woman was buried by the military.

Currently, there are no Russian military personnel in Sotnytskyi Kozachok. If the Russians had occupied the village, Kovalenko says, they would have immediately started building a bridgehead here. Currently, the situation in the village is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
