
On the night of December 12, the power in Odesa partially went out due to a local network failure. Specialists are already working to restore power supply.
This was reported by the press service of DTEK Odesa region.
Namely, this concerns part of the Odesa and Peresyp districts of the city.
“By order of NPC Ukrenergo, stabilization power outages will be in effect from 00:00 to 23:59 on December 12,” the message says.
Energy experts also called for economical consumption of electricity in order to reduce the load on the network and avoid emergency outages.
As a reminder, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, confirmed the emergency power outage in the city and added that in addition to electricity, water pipes were damaged. As a result, Odesa residents will have problems with water supply.
“Odesa has been subjected to another attack by the Russian Federation. Infrastructure has been damaged. Power and water supply have been cut off in parts of the city. There is no information about the victims at this moment. This is the main thing. All relevant services are working on the scene to eliminate the consequences,” the head of the regional military administration wrote.
Shelling of Odesa and the region at night
A series of explosions were heard in Odesa on the night of December 12 after reports that groups of Russian drones were being sent to the region.
The Air Force reported the launches of UAVs from the Black Sea and Mykolaiv regions, after which explosions were heard in the city.
The public reported serious fires in Odesa as a result of shelling by Russian strike drones. This information was later confirmed by local media.
The Odesa region has been under constant attacks by Russian troops for a long time, and the last week has become another confirmation of the intensity of these strikes.
