Office of the Prosecutor General: the number of children injured by Russia’s aggression has increased in Ukraine

As of February 3, at least 919 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported. The day before, the prosecutor’s office reported 918 injured children. The number of dead children did not change – 459.

“On February 2, as a result of shelling by the Kherson enemy, a 5-year-old boy was injured,” the Office of the Prosecutor General clarified.

The prosecutor’s office emphasized that the announced figures are not final, work is ongoing to establish them in the places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, 3,126 educational institutions were damaged in Ukraine due to bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces, 337 of them were completely destroyed.

The wounded were evacuated and came under fire: the occupiers covered the volunteers from Norway with fire

The occupiers continue to shell Bakhmut daily. During one of the attacks, two volunteers from Norway were injured. We are talking about Sander Sjorsven Trelvik and Simon Jonsen.

Both relatives of the volunteers and Simon Jonsen himself told about it. Note that the two men are medical volunteers who provided assistance to Ukrainians who suffered from Russian aggression.

The shelling happened during the evacuation

Jonsen said that on Thursday (February 2) morning, he and Trelwick received another task. There was talk of the need to evacuate several people who were injured as a result of shelling. As soon as the volunteers arrived, the occupiers fired at them as well.

They bombed the same place twice. Then they started shelling the area, when they saw that we had survived, he remarked.

Jonsen added that, unfortunately, several people died as a result of enemy fire that day.

As for Trelwick, he suffered burns to 30-40% of his body and also has shrapnel wounds. This was told by his mother. She added that the volunteer’s internal organs were not damaged. So far, he and Jonson have been sent to the Dnipro. In the hospital, they will be provided with the necessary medical assistance. According to her, the Norwegian authorities are preparing to evacuate volunteers to their homeland through the territory of Poland.

Note that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway is aware of what happened. At the same time, the agency refused to comment on the incident to journalists.

The occupiers continue to advance on Bakhmut

  • In the morning summary of the General Staff of February 3, it is noted that the occupiers continue to conduct an offensive in a number of directions. And they are not stopped by the insane losses that the enemy suffers during this. And all because the invaders need to win for Putin at least some kind of victory in the war. So by March, they should – according to his plans – seize Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
  • Over the past day, offensives were observed in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Novopavliv directions. The invaders also carried out many attacks. Defense forces repelled them near Stelmakhivka, Nevsky, and Bilogorivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Verkhnokamyansky, Mykolaivka, Krasnaya Gora, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovsky, and Kurdyumivka in Luhansk Oblast.
A new level of terror: the enemy is targeting medics who are rescuing victims of the previous shelling

Wounded Norwegian volunteers in Bakhmut claim that the occupier deliberately hit those who came to the aid of previously wounded civilians

Medical volunteers from Norway, Sander Sjorsven Trelvik and Simon Jonsen, arrived in Bahmut on Thursday, February 2, to evacuate several people who were injured by the shelling. After the volunteers arrived, the Russian shelling began.

Volunteers have been in Ukraine since Monday. In this trip, the evacuation of people from Bakhmut was the first task.

“Civilians were bombed. There were several victims. But the Russians were waiting for volunteers and medics. When we arrived and just started to pick up the injured, we were targeted. And when they saw that we survived, they started shelling the whole district,” Simon Jonsen told journalists.

After that, he discovered that several people who were nearby had died. Jonsen himself provided first aid to the wounded compatriot. He has burns on 30-40% of his body and fragments in his tissues. “I just want to inform you that Sander was injured in Ukraine. Now he is being taken to the Dnipro hospital for surgery. He is burned, and his body has shrapnel from a bomb. His internal organs are not damaged,” Trelwick’s mother wrote on her Facebook page.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway has already been informed about the situation. The evacuation of the wounded to Poland for further transportation to Norway was organized.

A blow to Kramatorsk: a woman’s body was recovered from the rubble of a destroyed building

The attack on Kramatorsk in Donetsk region, which the enemy army made on January 1, took the lives of four people. Serhii Kuzan, head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, is convinced that the Russian troops are deliberately trying to intimidate local residents by striking the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. At the same time, these events and their consequences should encourage Ukraine’s allies to take decisive action.
