From 4 a.m. Russian troops began launching Shaheds and missiles across the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. Three people were injured as a result of the shelling, 32 residential buildings and a critical infrastructure facility were damaged. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.
“Currently, we have reports that the Russians hit residential buildings and critical infrastructure with seven “shaheeds”, as well as one rocket. Unfortunately, we currently have reports of three wounded. One 74-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, hospitalized. Doctors are providing her with all necessary assistance, her condition is currently moderate. Also, another 46-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man were also wounded, received medical assistance on the spot and refused hospitalization,” he noted.
The Russian strikes caused significant damage to the housing stock of the region. Three multi-storey buildings and 29 private households were damaged.
“Currently, utility workers have begun to eliminate the consequences and I think that by the end of the current day, the work with multi-storey buildings will be completed, and the tightness will be fully restored. 29 private houses were affected, unfortunately, some parts of them were completely destroyed, will not be subject to restoration and these residents will receive certificates and restoration in order to use and purchase new housing. 10 non-residential buildings and garages, commercial buildings were also affected, and the operation to eliminate the consequences is currently continuing. And one critical infrastructure facility was also affected,” Fedorov noted.
