On May 1, the police recorded 10 war crimes committed by the Russian army in the Kherson region

On May 1, the Russian army once again attacked peaceful settlements in the Kherson and Beryslav districts with multiple rocket launchers, artillery, mortars, aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles. Civil infrastructure objects came under fire from the Russians, the Kherson Oblast Police reports.

Kherson, Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Ivanivka, Veletenske, Sadov, Mykilske, Dniprovske, Kyzomys, Prydniprovske, Ponyativka, Tokarivka, Beryslav, Olhivka, Lviv, Zmiivka, Tomarine, Mykhailivka, Tyaginka and Zolota Balka suffered from Russian attacks.

In populated areas, high-rise and private buildings, an economic building and a civilian warehouse were damaged by the strikes of the Russian army.

At night, Russian military aircraft dropped guided bombs on Olhivka, Tyaginka, Ivanivka, Kyzomys, and Dniprovske. A private house was damaged, fortunately there were no casualties.

In Mykhailivka, as a result of an attack by kamikaze drones of the FPV type, an apartment building and a warehouse with grain were damaged.

Russian troops targeted the residential sector of Kherson’s coastal zone with artillery and drones. Explosions rang out in the Dniprovskyi and Korabelny districts, an economic building was damaged and a house caught fire.

Investigative and operational police teams worked at the sites of shelling, removing fragments of enemy weapons and recording crimes.

On May 1, the police responded to 223 statements and reports from citizens about criminal offenses and other events. 10 proceedings under Art. 438 “Violation of laws and customs of war” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
