On September 16, the Russians carried out 100 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region

On September 16, Russian troops carried out 100 strikes on 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Yury Malashko, on September 17.

“20 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region are under Russian fire – 100 hits were recorded,” Malashko wrote.

He also noted that civilians were not injured.

According to the information of the head of the regional military administration, the occupiers carried out 5 MLRS attacks on Gulyaipilskyi, Novodarivka, Chervony and Maly Shcherbaki, 4 UAV attacks on Zliznychny, Novodarivka and Maly Shcherbaki, and also hit Orikhov and Preobrazhenka with 5 aerial shells. “We received 5 reports of the destruction of residential buildings and commercial buildings,” the message reads.

Also, 86 artillery shells were recorded on the territory of Gulyaipol, Novodanilivka, Biloghirya, Levadny, Olhivskyi, Shcherbaki, Stepovoy, Pyatikhatok, Primorskyi and Kamianskyi.

A residential building caught fire due to shelling in Pologiv district

On September 16, as a result of Russian shelling, a fire broke out in the settlement of Pologiv district of Zaporizhzhya region. There are no victims or injured.

This is reported by the State Emergency Service in the Zaporizhzhia region

Rescuers extinguished the fire in the roof of a residential building and a room with a total area of 87 square meters.

Also, sappers of the State Emergency Service removed an artillery shell that was found in a settlement of Pologiv district. It was destroyed by pyrotechnic specialists.

In addition, employees of the State Emergency Service brought 20 tons of technical water to Orihiv and Gulyaipole.

A total of 35 rescuers and 9 pieces of equipment were involved from the head office of the State Emergency Service for humanitarian demining, fire suppression and assistance.
