On the morning of February 1, the Russians shelled the center of Kherson: medics are fighting for the life of a woman

On the morning of February 1, Russian troops launched an artillery strike on the center of Kherson. Civilian infrastructure was hit by the shelling, a 59-year-old woman was seriously injured.

She is currently in the hospital, medics are fighting for her life. The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported on the consequences of the attack.

The shelling occurred at around 07:20 in the morning, when the city was already waking up. According to preliminary data, the strike fell on the central part of Kherson, where there are no military facilities. The blast wave and debris caused severe injuries to a local resident. The victim was diagnosed with concussion, explosive and closed head injuries, as well as a leg injury with partial amputation. The ambulance crew promptly transported the woman to the hospital in extremely serious condition. Doctors report that the patient’s condition remains critical, intensive resuscitation measures are ongoing.
