Only three recreation centers operate in the occupied resort Primorsk: all others are inhabited by Russian soldiers or abandoned

In the Zaporizhzhia region, only three of the largest recreation centers operated by the occupation authorities in the occupied resort of Primorsk: “Dorozhnyk”, “Motor” and “Pryboy”, although there are no people who want to rest there.

Svitlana Makedonska, head of the Primorsky City Military Administration, said about this.

Before the full-scale invasion, 56 recreation centers and children’s camps operated on the territory of the Primorsky community, not including numerous private mini-hotels. During the holiday season, the population of the community, which numbered about 25,000, increased four times to 100,000 people.

After the Russian invasion, says Svitlana Makedonska, more than half of the community’s population left. And all tourist successes remained in the past.

“In 2022, only the Dorozhnyk base received vacationers, primarily residents of the DРR.” This year, “Dorozhnyk”, “Motor” and “Pryboy” again announced the opening of the holiday season and are working, but there are no people willing to rest there. These bases will stand empty. And all others located on the coast are used by the Russian army to house personnel. They don’t always live there, but they are there periodically – from rotation to rotation. Similarly, the Russian military occupies the apartments and houses of the residents of the community who left for the controlled territory,” said the head of the Primorsky City Military Administration.

According to her, only local residents mostly rest on the central beach.

Also, Svitlana Makedonska added that Zaporіzhzhіа Primorsk has become popular for Russians from Asia and the Caucasus, who actively migrate here and transport their families.
