Over 100 houses damaged: Smila overcomes consequences of Russian attack

As a result of the attack on Smila on June 29, nine-story buildings, private houses and cars, at least four educational institutions, and a psychiatric hospital were significantly damaged. The academic building of the College of the National University of Food Technologies was destroyed.

The number of victims of the Russian attack on the city of Smila has increased to 13 people.

This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration Igor Taburets.

According to the head of the region, everyone has been provided with assistance, they do not require hospitalization.

He also adds that there is significant damage to the infrastructure. This was the largest attack on the city since the beginning of the war.

According to operational data, 14 apartment buildings and 109 private houses were damaged. 6 educational institutions and a psychiatric hospital were also hit. Only at least 2,000 windows need to be replaced. The survey is still ongoing.

Repair crews are working around the city, including from other communities. Their number will increase. The city has formed a reserve of building materials, and additional orders have also been placed.
