After the missile strike on July 10, specialists conducted a survey of the territory and laboratory analysis of the soil at the enterprise in Yuzhnoye. The studies showed not only significant land contamination, but also serious soil contamination, where the concentration of organic substances exceeds the permissible norms by hundreds of times.
State inspectors inspected the territory of the enterprise in the city of Yuzhnoye, which was damaged during the Russian shelling on April 10. During their work, specialists took soil samples for laboratory tests.
The inspection results showed that a land plot of 812 square meters was littered with debris and waste. The estimated amount of environmental damage from this exceeded 32 million hryvnias.
Laboratory analysis also confirmed the contamination of land resources on an area of 122 square meters. The samples taken revealed an excess of the maximum permissible concentration of organic substances by 286 times.
Additional damage due to soil contamination was estimated at almost 182 thousand hryvnias.
All collected materials have already been transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine. The data will be entered into a single register of damage caused to the environment as a result of Russia’s armed aggression.
