In April, Russian troops shelled border regions more than 400 times. The Russians attacked the Sumy region most of all last month, using, in particular, guided aerial bombs. Andriy Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, said this.

He noted that the Russians are shelling the border territories every day, even in those areas where they were pushed beyond the state border: “In April, more than 400 shellings were recorded in Chernihiv, Sumy, and part of Kharkiv regions. The shelling goes not only along the state border, but also along the border. The Russians use artillery, mortars, and recently we have noticed the activation of aviation: airplanes and helicopters, without even violating the state border, open fire on the border regions.”

According to him, the border guards do not record shelling from the territory of Belarus.

“But this direction remains one of the tense ones. We also note that periodically from the territory of Belarus on the border of the three states, the Russians try to use drones, which fly into the territory of Ukraine and then go to their targets,” said Demchenko.

He added that Belarus will play along with Russia in the war against Ukraine.

The cities of Kramatorsk, Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region and Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk region were hit by Russian missile attacks last day.

Russians shelled an educational institution in Chernihiv region, a child was killed

There was a child near the school – a 14-year-old boy. Unfortunately, he did not survive.

The Russians dropped 2 aerial bombs on the village of Lyzunivka in the Novgorod-Siversk community. According to one of the residents of Lyzunivka, a bomb fragment hit the child in the neck. The boy died on the spot.

Operational command “South” reported that the shelling took place around 2:50 p.m. The launch of 2 guided aerial bombs from Russian Su-35 aircraft over the village of Lyzunivka was recorded.

“As a result of the airstrike, 1 child (born in 2009) was killed and 2 more civilians were previously injured. Also, the building of a comprehensive school (non-working) was partially destroyed and private houses were damaged. Information about losses and damages is being clarified,” the message says.
