Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency, present at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, reported that on January 25-26, numerous powerful explosions occurred outside the facility.
This is stated in the statement of the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Mariano Grossi.
On January 25, at approximately 10 a.m. local time, there were eight loud explosions that rattled the windows of the plant’s offices, and more were heard today.
Grossi is convinced that these signs of hostilities near the nuclear power plant further emphasize the importance of agreeing and implementing a nuclear safety and protection zone around the site as soon as possible. According to him, the zone would help protect the nuclear power plant by making sure that it is not a target, nor is it used for attacks from the site.
Since February 28, 2022, the ZANP has been occupied by Russian troops. Since September 11, all units of the Zaporizhzhіa NPP have been in a state of cold shutdown due to constant shelling of the ZNPP and the destruction of the energy infrastructure.
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, is conducting negotiations on the creation of a safety zone around the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP in Kyiv and Moscow.
On October 11, 2022, Grossi held a meeting with Vladimir Putin. After that he returned to Kyiv. According to the results of the negotiations, the Director General of the IAEA stated that the parties “are approaching the creation of a protective zone for the Zaporizhzhya NPP”
In December, it was reported that the negotiations would continue.
Zaporizhzhia NPP supplied approximately one-fifth of Ukraine’s electricity. Six VVER-1000 V-320 reactors of Soviet design with water cooling and a water moderator containing uranium 235 are installed on it.
The reactors are shut down, but there is a risk of overheating of the nuclear fuel in the event of a shutdown of electricity to the cooling systems. As a result of shelling, power lines were repeatedly cut.
The IAEA reported strong explosions near the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Foreign experts connect them with the activities of the occupiers near the nuclear plant.
Adviser to the head of Rosatom, Renat Karchaa, in a comment to Russian propagandists, denied the explosions near the nuclear power plant.
Stop feeding RF. It turns out that the taxes of the inhabitants of Melitopol do not go to the city budget, but immediately go to Russia.
From the beginning of the occupation of Melitopol, it was obvious to all sane people that the Russian invaders would try to rob the territories under their control and withdraw as much money as possible from Ukraine. And so it happened: from the first days of the war, the invaders grabbed everything that was bad and took it to Russia. The needs of the region were provided according to the “leftover principle” and at the expense of “subsidies”. Fans of the “Russian world” all this time continue to believe in the fairy tales of the invaders, that they came with the war in order to “raise” the economy of the Melitopol region, restore production and create a “prosperous region” here. Fans of rashists are convinced that their money goes to the Melitopol budget and is spent on the development of the city, while in fact all the money from Melitopol is withdrawn to Russia.
So, the other day, the pseudo-tax service of the occupiers compiled a new tax account for all accountants in the annexed territory.
From these details it follows that all taxes of Melitopol residents go directly to the Federal Treasury for the Tula region. That is, now Melitopol taxpayers will replenish the budget of the Russian Tula.
It is precisely in pursuit of the goal of making as much money as possible on Melitopol residents and withdrawing them all to the Russian Federation that the occupying authorities are forcing local entrepreneurs to obtain Russian passports and register their business with the Russian tax office.
In order to speed up this process, the invaders even began to use the “carrot and stick” method: on the one hand, Russian rashists spread rumors that those who work under Russian law will pay less tax; on the other hand, controllers and tax inspections of the occupiers intensely nightmare those entrepreneurs who have not yet re-registered their business. To bribe some, to break others: all this is only so that the Russian budgets receive more money from Melitopol taxpayers.
While the Russian invaders are robbing Melitopol, local “quilted jackets” rejoice at the “new jobs” that the rashists create, not realizing that in this way the occupiers want to force the Ukrainians to work for themselves and thereby get even more profit from the occupied territories. “High salaries” and handouts offered by the invaders are nothing compared to the billions, a steady stream leaving for the Russian Federation. But the traitors are ready to sell themselves under such conditions. Slavery, unfortunately, is not cured.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are strengthening filtering for Ukrainians under occupation
The Russians, trying to find out the loyalty of the residents to the occupiers, are preparing large-scale checks of smartphones for the presence of Ukrainian applications and installing additional roadblocks.
The Russian invaders are preparing another filtering of the population in the occupied parts of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. The Center of National Resistance, which functions under the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces, informed about this on January 26.
According to the agency, the Russians, carrying out another filtering, want to find out the loyalty of the residents of the captured parts of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions to the occupation administration.
In particular, a large-scale check of mobile phones is being prepared for the presence of Ukrainian applications, in particular online banking and training services.
“In addition, the Russians are increasing the number of roadblocks between populated areas in the south of Ukraine. At the roadblocks, residents are asked about the presence of military records, owned vehicles, addresses of personal accounts in social networks, with further verification,” the Center for National Resistance said in a statement.
Due to the strengthening of filtering measures, the department functioning under the SSO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine calls on citizens to be extremely careful and, if possible, to leave the occupation. In addition, the Center for National Resistance recommends clearing your browser history and unsubscribing from Ukrainian informational Telegram channels before going out.
A few days earlier, the National Resistance Center at the SSO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the Russians had accelerated the deportation of Ukrainians from the occupied territories. Deported citizens are housed in abandoned sanatoriums and dormitories, and the money allocated for housing the deportees has been embezzled by Russian officials.
After the New Year, the Center of National Resistance also reported that mercenaries from the “Wagner” PMC were participating in the forced deportation of Ukrainians from Bakhmut to Rostov-on-Don.
