People’s homes destroyed: consequences of Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia region on August 9

On August 9, the Russians used aircraft, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and drones to strike 15 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region. A total of 491 strikes were made.

This was reported by the National Police of Zaporizhzhia region.

Yesterday, the occupation forces launched a total of 491 strikes on settlements in Zaporizhzhia , Polohiv and Vasyliv districts. As a result of Russian strikes, houses of civilians were destroyed. Also, apartments, cars and outbuildings of people were damaged by shell fragments and a blast wave. In total, the police recorded 15 reports of destruction over the past day.

Unfortunately, two civilian men and a woman died as a result of shelling in Zaporizhzhia , Vasyliv and Polohiv districts, and a 69-year-old woman from Hulyaipil was injured.

Based on all the facts of Russian armed aggression, law enforcement officers have opened proceedings under Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
