Power outage: part of Sumy left without power due to Russian aggression

Sumy was partially cut off due to another Russian attack on November 12. The Ministry of Energy confirmed that Russia attacked the energy infrastructure of the Sumy region.

Sumyoblenergo wrote that the power outage occurred due to Russian military aggression. Part of the city was left without power.

In addition, hourly outage schedules continue to operate. Energy workers are working to restore power supply! – emphasized the energy workers.

From 15:00 to 20:00, the largest number of outages will be in effect – 4 shifts at once.

Russia attacked several times during the day with explosions in the Sumy region at 10:35, 14:42 and 16:33.

On the morning of November 12, part of Sumy was also cut off.

At 12:14, it was reported that part of Sumy was temporarily without power. This happened due to an emergency shutdown at one of the energy facilities, as explained by Sumyoblenergo.

On the evening of November 12, Russian troops attacked the energy infrastructure of Sumy region.

As a result of Russian shelling, part of the city of Sumy was left without electricity. In addition, hourly outage schedules continue to operate.

Currently, energy workers are working to restore electricity supply.

During the day, from the morning of November 11 to the morning of November 12, 2025, Russian troops carried out 23 attacks on 14 settlements in 11 territorial communities of the region. The largest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.

Within 24 hours, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated 7 people.
