President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyіі on 1418 days of war: Ukraine is fighting alone in the same territories as 80 years ago

President Volodymyr Zelenskyі commented on the 1418th day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, noting that the war continues in the same territories as 80 years ago, but now Ukraine is conducting hostilities independently. This day has become a symbol of the duration of the conflict, in which Ukraine continues to fight for its independence.

Volodymyr Zelenskyі stressed that the current full-scale war, which has been going on for 1418 days, is repeating history, because the war of Hitler’s Germany against the USSR also lasted the same period. In his speech, he drew attention to the systemic problems that the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin have created.

“This says a lot about the system that Putin built, and simply about him personally,” the President of Ukraine noted.

The war is being waged in the Donbass, Slobozhanshchyna and Zaporizhzhia regions, where Ukrainian forces continue to defend their positions. Volodymyr Zelenskyі also focused on the huge losses of Russian troops, which, according to him, amount to no less than 1,000 killed per day.

“This Russian madness can only be stopped by the combined forces of all of Ukraine’s partners,” he stressed.

The President noted that “every day of the war is a reminder that the world cannot protect itself from madmen.” These words indicate the seriousness of the situation and the need for international support in Ukraine’s fight against aggression.

The comments of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyі emphasize not only the duration of the conflict, but also its historical context, which may affect the perception of the war both in the international arena and within Ukrainian society. The appeal to history, as well as the emphasis on the need for international support, indicate the importance of coordinating the actions of allies in the fight against Russian aggression, which remains a key aspect of Ukraine’s strategy.
