On June 29, Russian military attacked a residential area of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region with artillery, the regional prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

A 54-year-old man was killed in the shelling, and another person was injured, the prosecutor’s office said.

“According to the investigation, on June 29 at 1:30 p.m., the Russian army carried out an artillery shelling of a residential area of the city of Kupyansk. A 54-year-old man was killed. Another man, aged 32, was injured: he was hospitalized in serious condition,” the department stressed.

Also, according to the prosecutor’s office, on June 29 at around 10:00 a.m., the Russian armed forces launched a series of air strikes on the village of Vilhuvatka, Kupyansk district.

The Russians dropped four guided bombs on the settlement. Private houses were damaged,” the department concluded.

On June 29, at approximately 8:00 a.m. on the Prikolotne-Vilhuvatka highway in the Kupyan region, a Russian FPV drone hit a civilian VAZ car.

A 63-year-old passenger died in the attack. In addition, a 59-year-old driver was injured. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – strike UAVs, missiles, guided bombs, MLRS.

The Russian leadership denies that the Russian army, during a full-scale war, is carrying out targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted in nature.
