On April 1, the Russians will begin the first conscription campaign for military service under the law on “year-round conscription”. Men aged 18 to 30 are subject to it. The term of service is 12 months, if a military contract is not concluded during this time.
This is reported by activists of the “Yellow Ribbon” movement.
The occupation administrations have already formed “conscription commissions” and involved the police to search for so-called “evaders”: raids on places of residence, inspections, questioning neighbors and forced delivery to military registration offices.
According to oral statements, conscripts will allegedly not be sent to the combat zone. However, according to previous campaigns, residents of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine have been repeatedly sent to combat military units.
This is another stage of the forced militarization of the population of temporarily occupied territories, where people are forced to serve in the Russian army.
