Residents of de-occupied settlements are accelerating the search for missing persons

Residents of the liberated areas are accelerating the search for the missing.

This is reported by the Ministry of Reintegration. Residents of de-occupied settlements actively cooperate with the search teams of the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons. It is thanks to local residents that searchers quickly navigate and find locations where there are likely burials.

Such cooperation accelerates the search for people and their further identification.

“The team of searchers continues to work in the liberated territories. It is very important that people trust us and pass on information about places of probable burials. I also want to emphasize once again that the relatives of the missing persons should not delay and submit DNA materials as soon as possible. This is an important element of the search work, without which experts cannot identify the bodies,” emphasized Oleg Kotenko, Commissioner for Missing Persons.
