On August 17, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, spoke about the failure of the so-called mass evacuation from the Kursk Region to the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Region.

Fedorov also added that out of hundreds of recreation centers seized by the Russians, only a few accepted Russians from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

“The evacuation of residents of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation to the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region is another propaganda step by the Russians to show “concern” for their own and to ask for additional funds from the Russian budget,” he added. In the absence of mass voluntary donations, the occupation administration forces teachers and other budget workers to collect humanitarian aid not only in collectives, but also in settlements.
