Rivne is recovering from a hostile missile attack: how power outages affected life in the region

Rivne region is recovering from another Russian missile attack. A critical infrastructure facility was hit again. Since the morning, hundreds of thousands of consumers have been left without electricity. In the regional center, people rushed to inviolability points, schoolchildren switched to distance learning, and boiler houses and trolleybuses stopped due to the lack of electricity.

The facts of the shelling of an infrastructure facility in the Rivne region are being recorded by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, at about 7 a.m. on November 28, 2024, the occupiers hit a critical infrastructure facility in the Rivne region with cruise missiles.

As a result of the hit, nearby residential apartment buildings also suffered damage.

Currently, the Security Service of Ukraine is investigating all the circumstances and is carrying out a whole range of investigative and operational measures. An appropriate evidence base is being collected so that each person guilty of this atrocity will receive the punishment he deserves.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region under the procedural guidance of the Rivne regional prosecutor’s office.
