Rocket attack on Kyiv: 22 people died

22 people died in Kyiv as a result of a Russian missile attack. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

As of 17:13, the State Emergency Service reported 22 dead and 72 injured

“As of 4:30 p.m., the liquidation of the consequences of the attack in Dniprovskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomyanskyi is still ongoing in three districts of Kyiv,” the message reads.

As a result of the Russian attack on the capital, 21 people died, 65 were injured, and 7 people were rescued.

372 rescuers and 49 units of basic and special fire-rescue equipment were involved at the scene.

“The city authorities declare July 9 as the Day of Mourning in the capital in connection with the Russian attack on civilian objects in Kyiv.

On this day, flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings in the city. It is also recommended to lower state flags on buildings of state and private ownership,” said the chairman of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko.

On July 9, any entertainment events are prohibited in the city.
