Rocket attack on Kyiv: houses in Bortnychy were completely destroyed

The police documented the consequences of the morning rocket attack by the Russians on Kyiv on the night of December 11.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko. According to him, the fall of rocket fragments was recorded in the Darnytsia district of the capital.

“Iskander-M” missiles or “S-400” complexes – the Air Force named the probable weapons with which Russia tried to target Kyiv in the morning.

The alarm was not announced in advance, because it is more difficult to detect the launch of missiles from the ground than the take-off of airplanes.

Russia reminded of itself: 19 rockets flew in two directions, there is damage in the Kyiv region.

In Bortnychy, the private sector of Kyiv, there is a lot of damage and destruction at various addresses as a result of falling fragments of downed Russian ballistic missiles.

Near one of the damaged houses, a sinkhole with a depth of about 5 meters, for example, could easily fit a dozen people there.

“We went to bed, we slept, but what we got was no house, not in the house. Everything is damaged, the house is collapsing on that side,” laments Ms. Nadiya.

A total of four people were injured. Male, born in 1992 received a shrapnel injury to the lower limbs. First aid was provided on the spot.

Three women born in 1963, 1990 and 1992. – everyone has an acute reaction to stress, help was also provided on the spot, said Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

“Something started to shake, then one blow, then another. Then the neighbor across the street called and said, ‘there’s a pit in your house,’ only the fireplace, which I built myself, remained,” the man says.

It should be noted that there is damage to residential buildings in several places in Bortnychy. Two houses were completely destroyed and about a dozen were damaged.

People were not injured. One of the houses that was completely destroyed was not yet completed. People are sorting through the debris, but they are still in a state of shock.

All operational services continue to work at the site to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

Night attack on Kyiv on December 11

On December 11, around 4:00 a.m., explosions rang out in Kyiv, after which an air alert was announced. Residents of the capital heard at least 10 explosions.

Soon, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that air defense forces were working in Kyiv. In the Darnytskyi district, windows were broken in a residential building, a child and two adults were previously injured by fragments of glass.

As a result of the attack, a fragment of the rocket also damaged an unfinished house, the fire in it was promptly extinguished. Smoke was also reported on the roof of a multi-story building in Holosiivskyi district, but the information about it was not confirmed.
