Rocket attack on Kyiv: the city is on fire, the number of injured is increasing

Part of the capital is without light.

On the morning of September 21, explosions rang out in Kyiv during an air raid warning. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported on the work of the Air Defense Forces in the city.

The mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko announced the consequences.

At least 7 victims are currently known in the Darnytsky district of Kyiv. Three people (among them a 9-year-old girl) were hospitalized. Two people were treated by medics on the spot.

Consequences of the attack:

  • In the Shevchenkiv district, rocket debris damaged a gas pipe, there is no fire.
  • There is destruction of non-residential buildings in Darnytskyi district. A total of seven people were injured there, three of them were hospitalized – among them an 18-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl.

Rescuers there are putting out a fire at a service station. 2 cars are also on fire. Broken windows in a two-story building nearby.

Vocational technical education institution was also affected. The students were in shelter, there were no casualties among them.

  • There were no casualties or damage in the Holosiivskyi district.

In addition, Klitschko reported that electricity and water had disappeared in some microdistricts of Sviatoshyn district. Later, he reported that the electricity supply had been restored.
