Ruined destinies and mutilated houses are the consequences of the Russian night attack on Odesa

On the night of December 27, the Russians carried out another massive drone attack on southern Ukraine. In particular, the Odesa district suffered significant destruction, where downed Russian anti-aircraft missiles fell on country houses.

According to the spokeswoman of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalya Humenyuk, in the suburbs of Odesa, a downed drone fell on a country settlement, where buildings were damaged and, unfortunately, people died. Currently, all victims are being provided with the necessary medical assistance.

“We have demonstrated that they are actually carrying the debris of an already shot down drone: they are still burning, they can cause damage just as much. The combat part of the device always breaks in the air,” Humenyuk said.

The Russians are changing their tactics again

In addition, the military noted that the Russians are again trying to wear out air defense systems in such a way that drones cannot be shot down over the sea. The Russians are doing everything possible to fly into residential areas where air defense installations cannot be placed.

“We are noticing such a change in the tactics of the Russians. They are really trying to lay out complex trajectories of drones in order to exhaust air defense systems and complicate our work,” added the Pivdnya spokeswoman.

People lost everything

Local resident Olena Kuklova noted that she was lucky to survive, because at the end of November she moved to the city for the winter, and went to the country only when necessary.

“Everything is destroyed, there is simply nothing. I was taken to see the house, but there was nothing to show either. Everything that was built over the years was destroyed,” said the Philharmonic artist.

In addition, a whole family of local residents was in the settlement at the time of the attack, which managed to escape. According to Sergey, a resident of Odessa, his relatives received minor injuries, but the house was completely destroyed.

“We heard a sound, an explosion – there is no ceiling, there is nothing. Fortunately, we managed to run out into the street through the ruins of our own house,” said local resident Serhiу.

On the night of December 27, the Russians attacked the southern regions with Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs in two waves of attacks with an interval of 15 minutes.

Law enforcement officers have started an investigation into the fact of a drone attack on civilian infrastructure in the suburbs of Odessa. Prosecutors are already recording the consequences of another attack by the occupiers on residential areas, during which people were killed and injured.
