Russia activates pocket pacifists in Europe. Part 2
Yesterday, I published the first part of the material about how Russia is now activating various international “pacifist” organizations in order to impress upon public opinion the need for peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. That is, in fact, the goal is to freeze the war, at least, with the preservation of those Ukrainian territories under Russian control, which the Russian invaders managed to capture.
The activities of these pocket organizations were particularly intensified on the eve of the counteroffensive. The main event from a number of similar ones should be the “International Summit for Peace in Ukraine”, which will be held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, from June 10 to 11.
I wrote yesterday in the first part of the “trilogy” about the organizer of this summit, the corrupt organization “International Peace Bureau”, which for decades cooperated with the USSR and continued this activity for the benefit of the Russian special services.
But, being the organizer of the summit, the “International Peace Bureau” is not the only organization of the Russian Six participating in this meeting. And today I will tell in detail about each organization that provides assistance to Russia in spreading “pacifist” narratives in Europe and beyond.
Let’s start, perhaps, with the “Austrian division of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation Austria” (International Fellowship of Reconciliation Austria).
This organization was founded in 1914, and its main goal is to achieve complete rejection of the use of violence by humanity. Not working very well somehow, are they? This organization has the status of an observer and consultant in the organizations of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and UNESCO. For us, she should be notable for the fact that from 2022 to 2023 she actively supports statements regarding evasion of mobilization in Ukraine. In other words, he indulges and encourages evaders with his activities.
The “Austrian branch of the International Women’s League for Peace and Freedom Austria” also participates in the organization of this event. It has existed since 1915, during the Cold War it actively engaged in blocking the development of nuclear weapons in the USA and organized tourist trips for Soviet citizens. I think there is no need to explain who was free to leave the USSR as a “tourist” in that period.
After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the organization actively helps Ukrainian refugees, primarily women, but at the same time regularly calls for an unconditional cessation of hostilities.
The organization with the very long name “Action Alliance for Peace, Active Neutrality and Nonviolence” (German: Aktionsbündnis Frieden, aktive Neutralität & Gewaltfreiheit) openly belongs to the left. This organization has held marches for the termination of material and technical assistance to Ukraine, regularly opposes the introduction of sanctions against Russia and calls for their cancellation, and is also a platform for the spread of pro-Russian narratives. In particular, this organization spreads the statements of Rainer Brain, who is known for calling the Revolution of Dignity a putsch, and the Austrian theologian Alfred Rachek, who believes that NATO and the United States, which organized… the Orange Revolution, are to blame for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
What is most interesting, the “Alliance for Action for Peace, Active Neutrality and Nonviolence” is financed, it cannot be, by the “Communist Party of Austria” and the network “transform!europe!”
That is, a very impartial organization, whose members cannot sleep at night, thinking about peace in Ukraine!
