Russia attacked energy facilities in Kyiv: heat and electricity were cut off in the city

On the night of February 3, Russian troops struck Kyiv’s energy infrastructure, causing heat and electricity to be cut off in many areas of the capital.

After the first ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv, heat and electricity were cut off in a number of areas of the capital. Residents of the city report that the heat supply, which had almost been restored after massive attacks on the energy sector in early 2026, has started to disappear again.

The left-bank areas of Kyiv remain the most vulnerable, where the restoration of heat supply previously took the longest and hundreds of houses were left without heat.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, reported that damage was recorded in five areas of the capital as a result of Russian strikes. According to him, two people were injured during the shelling.
