Russia attacked Odessa port with ballistic missiles: sailors of a foreign vessel died

At about 20:15, an air raid alert was announced in Odessa, and a few minutes later a powerful explosion was heard in the city. The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote that the Russians launched a ballistic missile at the city.

Subsequently, the Seaports Administration of Ukraine reported that the Odessa seaport was under a missile strike. The ballistic missile hit the corner of the berth wall:

“According to preliminary information, four crew members of the MJ Pinar vessel were killed, another sailor was injured. An employee of the pilot company who was on board was also injured.”

It is noted that the MJ Pinar vessel was loading wheat for export at the time of the strike. As a result of the attack, numerous damages were recorded to the infrastructure in the port territory – the berth, the terminal’s grain gallery, etc. Emergency services are currently working at the scene.

This is a dry cargo ship under the flag of Barbados, with 12 crew members on board. Previously, three Syrians and a Ukrainian were killed.

On the night of March 12, the Russian army carried out a massive drone strike on Odessa. As a result of the attack, a number of warehouses of private enterprises, fuel tanks, a business center, a garage and an outbuilding were damaged and destroyed.

Fires broke out in the city, including in fuel tanks and a warehouse with toys. The total area of ​​​​destruction is over 2,780 square meters. meters.
