Russia attacked Poltava region: gas infrastructure facilities damaged

On the night of October 22, Russian troops struck the Poltava region. According to the acting head of the Poltava regional military administration, Volodymyr Kohut, damage was recorded to oil and gas industry facilities in the Myrhorod district.

The cause of the destruction was direct hits and falling debris after an enemy attack. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.

“Fortunately, there were no casualties. Stay in shelters until the air raid warning goes off!” – Kohut noted.

On the night of October 22, an air raid warning was issued in the Myrhorod, Lubny and Kremenchuk districts.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also warned of a high-speed missile in the direction of Kremenchuk from the east.

Throughout the night, the Russians struck the country’s energy infrastructure. The massive attack continues, said Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.

“As soon as security conditions allow, energy workers will begin clarifying the consequences of the attack and carrying out restoration work,” she assured.
