Russia attacked the Mykolaiv CHP, destroying the city’s electricity generation.

City services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and restore heat supply, in particular with the help of modular boiler houses obtained in cooperation with Denmark.

On the night of February 16, Russia launched strike drones over Mykolaiv. As a result of the attack, in particular, the Mykolaiv CHP was damaged.

Currently, the city’s electricity generation has been completely destroyed due to the attack on the station. This was reported by Chairman Oleksandr Senkevych.

Senkevych says that the city is currently trying to restore heat supply. He adds that employees of the CHP and Mykolaivoblteploenergo are involved in the work. In addition, municipal services worked on the spot during the day to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

During February 16, the municipal services of Mykolaiv eliminated the consequences of the air raids in two districts. They cleaned the streets and sewed up windows for residents. The elimination of air raids will continue tomorrow. I am grateful to every worker who worked today for the benefit of the citizens, says the mayor of Mykolaiv.

Vie adds that in cooperation with Denmark the city received modular boiler houses, thanks to which it was possible to maintain heat in hospitals.

In addition, Sienkevych notes that one of the blows fell on the roadway of Central Avenue and damaged the sewer collector.
