According to the investigation, on February 9, 2024, around 2:00 p.m., the Russians carried out an airstrike on the territory of the Sumy district from the Russian Federation. According to preliminary data, the Russians dropped 7 air bombs of the “KAB” type on Yunakivsk, Khotynsk and Mykolaivsk communities.
Two civilians are known to have died as a result of the attack, and another woman may be under the rubble. Four people were also injured. Private residential buildings, the territory of a farm, and a warehouse were damaged.

Recently, the Russians massively shelled border settlements in the Sumy region. As a result, the destruction of houses was recorded, and there were also deaths.
The Russians also shelled the village of Stepok in the Sumy region. The last inhabitant of the settlement was killed by the Russian attack.
