For the second day in a row, on July 4-5, Russian troops are striking the gas production assets of Naftogaz Group in Poltava, Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
The Russian troops are using drones of various types, including jets. The shelling has been going on almost continuously since yesterday morning. Due to damage, the operation of some equipment had to be stopped.
According to the report of the chairman of the board of the National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretsky: “Russia is striking production facilities for the second day in a row. This is a targeted attack on Ukrainian gas production and an attempt to disrupt the country’s preparations for winter. The most important thing is that thanks to clear actions and security measures taken, our employees were not injured.”
The company emphasized that it is currently impossible to determine the full scale of the destruction. Experts will begin a detailed assessment of the consequences after the security situation allows.
