Russia ballistic missile strikes Black Sea port berth: Maltese-flagged civilian ship crew member injured

The Russian Federation has attacked the Black Sea port berth with a ballistic missile, where a Maltese-flagged civilian ship was docked, and one person was injured. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

The Black Sea port berth was attacked with a ballistic missile, where a Maltese-flagged civilian ship was docked. Unfortunately, one crew member was injured. He is currently receiving necessary assistance, Kuleba said.

According to the official, the ship was preparing to transport container cargo.

As a result of the strike, three containers were damaged and an oil leak occurred. A boom barrier is being installed to contain the consequences. This is another act of Russian terror against civilian port infrastructure, international trade, and maritime safety. Russia is deliberately attacking facilities that ensure exports, logistics and food security. All relevant services are working on the spot, Kuleba added. At the same time, according to the government official, “Ukraine continues to ensure the operation of ports and fulfill its international obligations, despite the constant attacks of the Russians.”
