The Russian army again shelled a front-line village in the Kupyan district of the Kharkiv region

On the afternoon of August 9, at 12:20 p.m., the village of Petropavlivka, Kupyan district, came under Russian fire. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a private house. This was reported in the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv region: “Rescuers from the 44th State Fire and Rescue Department as part of 2nd operational departments went to the scene. At the time of their arrival, the area of the fire was 150 square meters. Under the constant threat of repeated attacks, firefighters localized the fire at 12:50 and eliminated it finally at 1:10 p.m.,” said the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

 

Dnipropetrovsk region

The Russian army shelled Nikopol and the Marganets community, there is destruction

On the afternoon of August 9, the Russian military shelled the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region three times, using artillery.

This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak: “Destructive projectiles fell on the district center and the Marganets community. This time they didn’t touch people. However, there are gutted private houses.”

According to the head of the regional military administration, 12 private houses were damaged as a result of enemy strikes. A fire broke out in one of them, the fire covered 80 square meters.

“Three garages, two gas pipelines, four power lines, and five solar panels were also damaged,” Lysak added.

 

Sumy region

Russians shelled a farm in Sumy region

On August 8, around 7:30 p.m., Russian troops carried out an artillery shelling of the Velikopysariv community of the Okhtyr district of the Sumy region.

The shelling was carried out from the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office on August 9.

As a result of the shelling, the following were damaged:

  • hangar and agricultural machinery of one of the farms;
  • four private houses.
  • A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

 

Chernihiv region

The Russians massively shelled the border areas of Chernihiv region: there is destruction

On August 8, the Russians massively shelled the borders of the Chernihiv region from their territory with rockets from helicopters, barrel artillery and mortars. 40 explosions were recorded. The communities of Novgorod-Siversk, Horodnyansk, Semenivsk and Snovsk came under Russian fire.

In particular, the Russians shelled the villages of Gremyach, Buchki and Mykhalchyna Sloboda of the Novgorod-Siversk community with artillery and mortars. A total of 17 explosions were recorded.

As a result of the shelling of the village of Mikhalchyna Sloboda, according to the head of the Novgorod-Siversk community Lyudmila Tkachenko, several houses and outbuildings were destroyed. There are no injured people.

The Russians attacked two villages in the Semenivska community — Leonivka and Gremyachka — with rockets from helicopters. Border guards recorded six explosions. The village of Baranivka of the same community was also shelled by the enemy with a mortar – there were six parishes.

Russian troops shelled the Horodnya community in the direction of the village of Senkivka. The border guards recorded three shots from the mortar.

Two villages in the Snovska community — Huta Studenetska and Hrynivka — were shelled by the Russians with mortars and barrel artillery: there were eight parishes.
