
On the morning of February 17, Russian Russians launched strikes on Sumy region. Currently, six injured civilians are known, there is destruction.
This was reported by Acting Chairman Artem Kobzar and Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleg Grigorov.
“As a result of today’s Russian strikes, six injured people are known. Preliminary, their condition is not serious. Medics are providing all necessary assistance,” said Kobzar.
According to Grigorov, the injured are women aged 20 and 61, as well as men aged 60 and 76. They are currently under medical supervision.
In addition, a 45-year-old and 42-year-old man who were near one of the hit sites were injured. They received medical assistance on the spot.
“Buildings and cars were damaged. About 100 windows were broken in different locations of the city. The extent of the destruction and all the consequences of the attacks are being clarified. All relevant services are working at the scene,” Kobzar reported.
The head of the regional military administration stressed that the Russians have been striking the Sumy community since the very morning, and civilian infrastructure has been hit. He also called on local residents to take shelter, as the threat of repeated strikes remains.
On the night of February 17, at around 03:10, the Russians attacked the Kyrykivska community in the Sumy region with three drones. The houses of local residents were hit.
A 68-year-old woman died as a result of the Russian shelling. Her family – a 42-year-old son, a 40-year-old daughter-in-law and their two sons, aged 7 and 15, were injured. A 79-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man were injured in a neighboring house.
